With friends like these, the Republicans don't need enemies: Duke Cunningham, the anti-gay California Congressman mentioned in Abramoff's prostitute scandal (now serving time for bribery); Larry Craig, the Idaho senator arrested for playing footsies in a Minnesota tea room; David Vitter, client of the D.C. Madam; Mark Foley, the Florida Congressman who sent dirty text messages to congressional pages; and now, South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford formely a rising star in the GOP, now in disgrace after telling his staff that he was hiking the Appalachian Trail, when, in fact, he was carrying on or turning off an affair in Argentina.
Democrats are far from perfect. We have disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagovich indicted on all kinds of corruption; and whore hound New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.
The difference: Democrats have never claimed to represent the moral majority and bearer of family values.

You're right! I was trying to stay contemporary, but I forgot about Edwards, who particularly pissed me off.
