CLEARWATER, FL – Star J. (Fabricius) Couture, 51, of Clear-water, Florida died unexpectedly at home on December 31st. Pre-deceased by her son, Joseph Bray of So. Hadley she leaves behind a husband, Gerald Couture and sons John Bray and Kyle Hajec, both of Clearwater, Florida. She also has two cherished grandsons, Joseph and Jonathan Bray.
Star was the daughter and step-daughter of Ivan and Rita Fabricius of Granby, MA and the late Gloria (McLean) Fabricius. She was born and raised in Granby, MA and attended the Granby Public Schools.
She will be “greatly” missed by her sisters, Darlene Ehlers and husband John of So. Hadley, Gail Eldridge and husband Bob of Agawam, Cindy Hogan and husband Dennis of So. Hadley, and Hedy Turgeon and husband Dennis of Westfield.
A large and saddened step family include Larry McKendry, Louise Magiera, Elaine Slater, JoAnn Mercier, Mark Bryant, Dee Dee Henry, Kim Ray, and Jay Fabricius.
She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church of Clearwater, Florida and their Bible Study Group. Her services were held on January 2, 2009. I just happened onto this site and felt such pain for the loss of my sister, Star. I’m starting to terms with her loss and miss her so much. I read with interest the goings on in my home town of Granby, MA. It’s so hard to believe it was that many years ago. I graduated in 1966-Yikes, I really printed that. To all of you in my wonderful home town of Granby, have a wonderful summer and enjoy yourselves.
